Adorapop is a lovely shop on Etsy, featuring jewellery inspired by fairytales, birdwatching and other things. For those of you not familiar with Etsy, it’s a place where anyone can buy and sell handmade stuff and unique crafting supplies. Whatever your taste, you will find something to love here.

Gigantic knitted shellfish thingy

Seen this one?

It’s a nautiloid, a prehistoric beast. Would look good on any bed, in my opinion.

Embroidery, believe it or not

What to do with a boring cardi? I loved the colour though:

Duckie buttons were purchased:

But embroidery turned out to be the thing du jour. I made an old school-tattoo-motif, no less:

Update coming soon on the finished cardi.

Wham bam!

Fast work:

Crazy pic, but great cowl in brown silk alpaca from the stash. Via Insaknitty.

Yodababy!

Yodahat felted, with a lamp for model:

Popping out Christmas Gifts

Knitting hats for christmas, in eskimo yarn. Fat yarn makes for fast knitting, and i might be done in time for a change.

Blue hat with organza ribbon, bow in back:

Stripey hat for dad, same colours as last year’s scarf:

Yoda hat for baby (pre-felting):

And a space invaders hat for me:

Braid/scarf

Scarf in pure, unspun merino wool:

I am happy about this one – the only comments so far is “very princess Leia”, and that can’t be bad?

Fast and warm.

Selbu Selbu

Still trying to wrap my head around the selbu pattern. It’s quite fun, but also quite frustrating. I have made some unexplicable mistakes, but I’ve decided to keep on going. It’s my first pair after all.

A bit more alternative on the inside of the hand. This does not resemble the normal plaid pattern very much:

I have no patience for frogging, so they will have to be alternative.

Another Hat

Another hat, in super fat eskimo yarn this time. This yarn goes very well with moss stitch:

There will be more eskimo hats towards christmas. They are lovely and warm, and very fast to knit.

Two hats

My second eva hat, in paris cotton yarn:
Well, actually I have modified it, but the basic recipe is hers, and I will give due credit.

Renate got a yellow hat for her birthday, only ten days late:
