Etsy Favourites – Poster Shops

I long for my apartment so much – and the wait is made unbearable by a tenant who won’t move. While waiting, I plan and re-plan. What to do? In what order? Painting walls and floors, ripping off the horrid 80s wallpaper in the hallway, possibly getting a new wardrobe. Where to put the furniture. Staining the wooden bench top a darker colour. Painting the kitchen cabinets – but what colour? How to separate the bed from the living room.  The list is endless.

I entertain myself searching for posters on etsy – and there are really some great ones! Here are a couple of my favourite poster shops:

Dkngstudios ^ is a small design studio located in Santa Monica.

Claudia Varioso ^ makes posters based on movies – I love the consistent style.

Farouche ^ makes vintage-style, bright and lovely posters – I just imagine waking up to this every day.

I love love bomobob‘s ^ carnival series. Makes me feel like a child again. In a good way.

Gotta love moop!

Their bags are excellent quality and lovely. I already have the market bag in brown:

This one is obviously blue, but just as pretty.

I plan on getting a smaller bag as well, perhaps in red:

Something less practical, but still on my wish list:

Guitar string earrings! Isn’t that brilliant? From cheapdatejewelry

Hello Francis!

I couldn’t resist any longer, and bought the yarn for my Francis yesterday. And I just had to start:

I love the yarn, so soft to the touch and easy to work with. And I love the pattern, too! This is my first top-down sweater, and it is really fun. Look at the increases!

It is really fast on 6mm needles (which is good, as I have no patience).

I made some simple bracelets last week that I haven’t posted yet. I have used the same technique as on a handmade bracelet I bought in Cuba a couple of years ago: a long string with a couple of beads knotted on, and a few rows of macramé to secure them together and make the bracelet adjustable. Neat, huh?

This one is for my mother, who loves hot pink:

And this one is for me, with little green turtles:

I bought the turtle beads from Little Appleton Beads some years ago – the melon beads on the ends og the string is from the same shop.

Today, one of my favourite shops: AnnBernadette

She makes rings and things from copper wire in different colours. I first bought this one:

And then I bought this one as well:

They are super comfortable, and both became instant favourites. Highly recommended!

I’ll add another one of my favourites:

A stuffed stag’s head! I love it. A few years ago, I had an idea of making a pink felted moose head. Perhaps it’s time to pick up that idea again.
